Meet the Board

Joshua Levin, MD - Chairperson

A founding member of PediaTrust (speroMD’s parent company) and speroMD, Dr. Levin takes a special interest in driving results through medical coding and compliance.

Dr. Levin is a board-certified pediatrician and has been a full-time physician with Elm Street Pediatrics since July 2007. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Microbiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He graduated from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2004 and completed his Pediatric Residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital).

Susan Sirota, MD - Board Member

Chairperson, PediaTrust, LLC

Dr. Sirota has been a practicing pediatric physician for over 20 years and is an innovative business leader with expertise in running a successful and efficient physician-owned practice. She also serves as the Chair of the PediaTrust Board. PediaTrust is the majority owner of speroMD and is a pediatric supergroup comprised of over 70 clinicians with 20 locations throughout Chicagoland.

Long recognized for her business expertise, Dr. Sirota has been showcased as a speaker at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) National Conference and Exhibition (NCE) and is an active participant in the AAP’s Section on Administration and Practice Management.

Dr. Sirota received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from Tufts University. She completed her Internship and Residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital).

Julie Goynshor, MD - Treasurer

Dr. Goynshor has considerable experience in pushing the innovative boundaries of integrated electronic medical records. As an active member of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital Community Connect Governance Committee, she is committed to the strategic implementation of Epic tools and modules for ambulatory practices.

Dr. Goynshor is a board-certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 2003 and completed her pediatric residency at the Loyola University Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital in 2006.

Michael Siegel, MD - Secretary

Dr. Siegel received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his Pediatric Internship and Residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital).

Dr. Siegel was also an Instructor of Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He previously served as President of the Children's Community Physicians Association (CCPA), a PHO affiliated with Lurie Children’s Hospital, representing over 300 physicians. Dr. Siegel currently also serves as Secretary of the Board of PediaTrust.

Laurie Hochberg, MD - Board Member

Dedicated to the education of her colleagues, Dr. Hochberg is a clinical instructor in Pediatrics at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She has also volunteered as a supervisor at the Lurie Children’s Hospital residency clinic for over 26 years.

Dr. Hochberg received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  She completed her pediatric residency at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital) and is a board-certified pediatrician.

Sheri Ross, MD - Board Member

Dr. Ross earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her MD from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She then completed her residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital (now Lurie Children’s Hospital).

Dr. Ross served as Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Good Shepherd Hospital and Vice Chair of Pediatrics at Lake Forest Hospital. She was also a long-standing Board member of CCPA (Children’s Community Physicians Association) and Board member of the Lurie Children’s CIN (Clinically Integrated Network).
