As with any introduction, it’s important for you to know who we are.  speroMD is a physician-owned revenue cycle management company with extensive experience in physician billing and revenue cycle management.  Getting where we are today was not always an easy road – we have faced some of the same struggles you face today – and therefore want to impart useful advice that we wish we would have had access to whenever we faced billing and revenue cycle challenges.

speroMD was formed by business-minded physicians passionate about sharing knowledge and expertise in order to help practices maintain their independence.  Being physician-owned gives us a unique understanding of the challenges you face in your own practice.  We want to be your resource for good physician billing and revenue cycle management information that you can easily implement in your own practice.

Our future blog topics will include advice from experts on the front-end best practices, contracting considerations, important reports for your practice, patient collection advice, explanations of important billing metrics for assessing the quality of your biller, and much more.

Kathleen McTigue has served in a variety of pediatric health care positions – on the clinical side treating patients, as well as building business on the operations side. Leveraging her 25 years of experience dedicated to pediatric medicine, she now serves as the Executive Director for PediaTrust LLC, a single-specialty pediatric network in Northbrook, Illinois, comprised of 54 providers. She is also the executive director for speroMD.  Her primary focus is to build operations for both speroMD and the PediaTrust network.  Kathleen’s previous association with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she successfully served in a dual role; as the Executive Director for the 400 member Children’s Community Physicians Association (CCPA), and the Administrator of Physician Services, where she provided leadership and management for the Physician Services department as well as for the hospital’s Primary Care Growth Plan initiatives.  Prior to her leadership at Lurie, she successfully led strategic planning, operations, and service integration for numerous departments within Alexian Brother’s Health System and Advocate Healthcare/Lutheran General Children’s Hospital.  She holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
