27 Jul How the Cost of Healthcare is Affecting Patients
Long-time readers know that we like to data-dive from time to time at speroMD. We decided to share something with you from the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) website this week. There’s an interesting slide show KFF posted recently summarizing polling results regarding the affordability of medical care.
We know that the cost of healthcare in the U.S. is relatively high, and we know that this has helped drive a larger out-of-pocket spend by patients. This data is interesting because it gets very personal, and provides a snap shot of the tradeoffs patients are making to cover their healthcare bills. It also illustrates the overall challenge such a large number of us under the age of 65 are having, to make ends meet with regard to our healthcare costs.
